A little about me

I’m a 27-year-old self-taught artist based in Christchurch, New Zealand. I began experimenting seriously with art at the age of 20.

You are encountering my work early in its evolution, and I invite you to witness that process as it unfolds.

This site functions as an open archive. I share nearly everything I make, including unresolved or unsuccessful works.

My practice explores surrealism through painting, charcoal, ink, and mixed media. I work intuitively, often using automatism to access the unconscious. From this process, unintended figures, animals, birds, and floral forms emerge organically.

For many years, perfectionism dominated my approach. I destroyed a significant amount of work, unable to accept it as complete or worthy.

Recently, I have begun to keep the “imperfect.” By embracing chaos and experimentation, I’ve found growth, freedom, and momentum.
